After the alarm: Universities demand measures against AI cheating

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

After the alarm about cheating with Artificial Intelligence, almost half of Sweden’s 13 largest universities and colleges now want to see some form of national action plan for how to deal with the problem. At six of Sweden’s 13 largest universities and colleges, students are suspected of having used AI to cheat. In October last year, the European Commission came up with guidelines regarding the use of AI in teaching. And now several Swedish higher education institutions want to see clearer national guidelines regarding the use of AI in education. – We need to train teachers in what AI means, we need to get them to test the various tools and we also need training in how to adapt examinations, says Sonja Bjelobaba, senior lecturer at Uppsala University. More about the schools’ requirements in the clip above.
