After Tarantino’s harsh criticism of Marvel, Samuel L. Jackson of all people is now shooting back

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Quentin Tarantino sparked controversy with his words against Marvel. Marvel actors are not movie stars, this is his controversial thesis. Now, of all people, his long-time comrade-in-arms Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) dismisses such an idea.

Tarantino co-star Samuel L. Jackson completely rejects his Marvel stance

Entertainment Weekly quotes him from The View:

These characters need real actors, and the mark of a movie star has always been [besonders viele] sold seats in the cinema. Recognizing these actors as movie stars is not controversial. Chadwick Boseman is Black Panther. There’s no denying that, and he’s a movie star.

In his first Marvel attack, Tarantino differentiated between Marvel actors and movie stars. Marvel roles only ever popularized the characters but not the performers.

Jackson, who has done a few MCU appearances as Nick Fury in addition to a few Tarantino roles, obviously disagrees. It seems questionable whether Marvel actors without MCU backing develop the same box office pull as undisputed stars in the Brad Pitt category. Does that mean they deserve less attention? seems to be the explosive core of the whole discussion. Or the explosive misunderstanding.
