Last week, The Rookie fans were surprised by the news that a cast member was leaving the crime series. The actor concerned, Tru Valentino, recently commented on the decision to say goodbye to his character before the 7th season.
This is what Tru Valentino says about his exit from The Rookie
Valentino plays the Figure of Officer Aaron Thorsen and has been part of the cast since the 4th season. In the series, Aaron is the son of a famous rapper who, between his jet-set lifestyle and Tiktok fame, becomes a murder suspect. Although nothing can be proven against him, he is initially on his own when he begins his police training in Los Angeles. Over time, he becomes a full member of the Mid-Wilshire precinct and finds a new calling.
After three seasons, Tru Valentino is saying goodbye. He commented on the move in an Instagram story on Friday (via Deadline):
I will always cherish my time at The Rookie, but I couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds. I adore the friends and relationships I made during my time there. It was an incredible opportunity and I feel so lucky to have been able to experience the last three seasons. Thank you to the best fans in the world. I know I don’t talk much but I appreciate you all so much. You never know who will show up again in the Mid-Wilshire district. Until then, 7 Adam 19, this is Officer Thorsen, over and out!
