After rain comes sunshine – then the heat makes a comeback

After a sunny weekend with real high summer temperatures, a cold front came and took hold of Sweden. Even on Wednesday, the thermometer shows no happy numbers, but then things will turn around, promises TV4 Nyhetern’s meteorologist Peter Kondrup.
– It will be really cold for the next 24 hours, but then it will turn back again.

Last Sunday it was 26.3 degrees in Västerås and it was the first day of the year that showed real high summer heat in large parts of the country. In northern Sweden, the high temperatures have remained after the weekend, on Tuesday it was over 20 degrees in Skellefteå. In southern Sweden, however, the summer heat disappeared quickly.

There are now two cold fronts that are moving in over Sweden and bringing chilly temperatures in large parts of the country on Wednesday.

– Tomorrow morning there may be patches of snow all the way down over the interior of southern Norrland and inner Svealand, says Peter Kondrup.

Then it turns around

Until Ascension Day, on Thursday, the weather map looks completely different. Peter Kondrup shows a map of Sweden covered in suns. And then it just gets better and better.

– It will be sunny over most of the country and the temperature will rise further on Friday.
