“Aerial gliding demands a lot from the pilots. It’s all about complete control of the aircraft,” says coach Sape Miedema. The pilots have to deal with speeds of almost 300 kilometers per hour and high g-forces. “Most of the “flying hours” they have made on the ground by preparing the flights on the ground down to the last detail.”
