The legal series Suits ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019 and was even able to increase its popularity last year after the series ended: When Netflix included the legal duo of Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams in its own program, Suits took off in the USA most streamed series in 2023. As a result, the Spin-off series Suits: LA on. Their new main actor and the first concrete plot details have now been determined.
Suits: LA is coming as a series spin-off with Arrow star Stephen Amell
As the Hollywood Reporter reported, an actor well-known to series fans has been cast as the new main character of the potential Suits spin-off: Stephen Amell plays lawyer Ted Back. The actor was seen as the eponymous DC hero Arrow for many years and most recently played one of the main roles in the wrestling series Heels. After its cancellation, Amell now has time to turn to new series adventures.

What Suits: LA will be about, has now also become more concrete. As the title suggests, the Suits spin-off is no longer set in New York, but on the West Coast, in Los Angeles. Ted Black (Stephen Amell) moved here after leaving his job as a New York lawyer. Now the two of him (perhaps with the previously leaked “Erica”) run a law firm specialized in criminal law and entertainment law has. But when his company is in crisis, he suddenly has to save it “step into the role he has hated his entire career”.
The first plot description of Suits: LA leaves it open whether this means that the former prosecutor will now become a criminal defense attorney for accused criminals. However, we can assume that many legal cases await us that are related to this Entertainment happenings in Hollywood are tied.
When does the Suits spin-off Suits: LA start? The success on Netflix did not bring Suits’ lawyers a 10th season, as initially speculated. The series creator of the spin-off is once again Aaron Korsh. Suits: What will the new team look like?
The Suits channel NBC also has initially only ordered the pilot for Suits: LA. Filming begins in March in Vancouver, Canada. Only if this first episode is successful in test screenings will a full first season be ordered. A decision is expected to be made in May, as part of the Upfronts. If everything goes well under these conditions, we can publish the series End of 2024/beginning of 2025 expect.
