The future of DC is uncertain, but one movie is definitely coming: Joker 2. The sequel to the billionaire hit Joker was officially announced a few months ago and has been making headlines regularly ever since. Last but not least, it should be be about a musicalalthough it is unclear how dominant the musical elements really are.
Apart from that, DC proves to have a good hand in choosing the actors. While Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz return from the first part, Lady Gaga could be won as Harley Quinn. In addition, are now available two more additions fest: Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson.

Keener was last seen as a villain in the Netflix film The Adam Project. Gleeson’s latest film, The Banshees of Inisherin, premiered a few days ago at the Venice Film Festival. What roles the two play in Joker 2 is currently unclearas Deadline summarizes in his report.

Keener and Gleeson’s casting is definitely exciting and unexpected: both have proven throughout their respective careers that they can play characters you trust. At the same time, they also fit great in nasty roles. For Joker 2, this range of options can only be an advantage.
