After her naughtiest film, Jennifer Lawrence becomes a Hollywood icon for Martin Scorsese

With Killers of the Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese has delivered one of the best films of 2023. The film was able to secure a respectable 6th place in the Moviepilot annual ranking. However, that is no reason for the now 81-year-old director to rest. On the contrary: Scorsese is already planning new projects. As Variety reports, the project is currently in the planning phase. While Tina Sinatra, who manages her father’s estate, has not yet officially approved the biopic, Scorsese is said to have already been looking for a well-known cast. For the role of Frank Sinatra, he had one of his regular stars in mind: Leonardo DiCaprio slip into the role of the music legend. Furthermore, Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) is said to be Sinatra’s second wife, Ava Gardner, embody.

Gardner made a name for himself with films like Mogambo and The Barefoot Countess and was considered one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the 1940s and 50s. She had an affair with Sinatra while he was still married to Nancy Barbato (Tina Sinatra’s mother) and did not marry the singer and actor until 1951. It is not yet known whether Barbato will also appear as a character in the biopic.

After Scorsese produced the film Killers of the Flower Moon with Apple, Sony has now also expressed interest in the biopic.
