Since Tuesday, a photo of Daouda Diallo, the secretary general of the Collective against impunity and stigmatization of communities (CICS) has been circulating on social networks. If we do not know the place and origin of this photo where we see Daouda Diallo in fatigues and a helmet, his relatives have confirmed that the clothes and shoes worn under the uniform are indeed those he had on the day of his arrest last Friday. Since then, there has been no news of this human rights actor.

Daouda Diallo is one of around ten actors in society who have been served with military requisition following comments deemed critical by the transitional power. For Isabel De Sola, director of the Martin Ennals Foundation – which presented its prize for human rights in 2022 to Daouda Diallo – this forced requisition of a man who has medical and not military training makes no sense.
“ Often, activists who have a charisma that manages to touch people and have created movements on the ground are the most pursued, harassed and arrested on false pretexts. So this is not the first time that the price [Martin Ennals] must deal with a case of harassment of this level. It is an aberration to bring people by force to the military front. A pharmacist is much better with sick people and victims of violence who need care. We hope that embassies, UN and AU agencies could convince the government to release Daouda and other activists who were also kidnapped. »
