Deadpool 3 will be the only MCU blockbuster in cinemas next year, but it will be a major event for Marvel fans. The sequel not only reunites Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine in front of the camera, but also brings back numerous characters from the X-Men universe (and others) as a multiverse adventure.
Some guest appearances and Marvel connections have already been revealed through image leaks from the Deadpool 3 filming, which Ryan Reynolds countered with funny fake spoilers. The next revelation now comes from an official source. A star has now confirmed his unexpected return. Warning, spoilers follow.
Deadpool 3 brings back the Marvel character Vanessa, even though she has already died
In an interview with ComicbookMovie, Morena Baccarin confirmed her Marvel return as Vanessa Carlysle.
My shooting days are already over […] and I think it’s going to be really good! I think fans are in for a fun surprise.
Her character first appeared as Wade Wilson’s partner in Deadpool before being killed at the beginning of Deadpool 2.

Morena Baccarin as Vanessa in Deadpool 2
However, Vanessa’s return doesn’t come as a complete surprise. Wade Wilson already changed in a Deadpool 2 end credits scene thanks to a time travel device the past and, among other things, prevented Vanessa’s death. We have not seen what impact this change has on his reality.
It is not yet known whether we will actually see the rescued Vanessa in Deadpool 3 or a completely different one from the Marvel universe. In the interview, Morena Baccarin euphorically agrees that it’s time to slip into a superhero costume. In the Marvel comics, her alter ego is also as Mutant shapeshifter Copycat known.
