Anyone who visits the central hall of the Meander Medical Center in Amersfoort today cannot miss it: there is a strike going on here. The hall is full of banners with texts such as: ‘We deserve more than just applause’, ‘Our care heart has a price’ and ‘We don’t like the collective labor agreement’. Just like in 63 other hospitals in the country, a large part of the staff in Meander today works according to the Sunday schedule.
