With Napoleon, Ridley Scott (Gladiator) has once again proven his talent for big battles. But his next project apparently doesn’t need any bayonets or uniforms. It’s about a bomb from the Second World War that plays an important role in the duel between two men.
Napoleon maker Ridley Scott is filming an acclaimed short story
The film will be an adaptation of the short story Bomb by Kevin McMullin (Low Tide), which is about a police negotiator in hostage situations: On the eve of his wedding, Frank Politti is called to a shell of a building in central London. There An unknown man stands on a newly discovered bomb from the Second World War. He only wants to talk to Politti.

Details about the cast or plot of the adaptation are not yet known. According to Deadline, McMullin will be responsible for scripting his story himself. Scott will finish Gladiator 2 before moving on to Bomb. The adaptation will in all likelihood significantly cheaper than the 188 million dollar colossus Napoleon (via Box Office Mojo).
When is Bomb coming to the cinema?
It is not yet clear when exactly the thriller adaptation will be shown on screen in this country. Because of the early stage of production we are leaving not from a release before the end of 2025 out of.
