Although no evidence has ever been found that she betrayed her fellow resistance fighters, she was not included on the honors list of Dutch resistance fighters. That is why she was not mentioned on monuments and street signs. Partly thanks to the book by writer Hessel de Walle, about the lives of 32 women in the Frisian resistance, the resistance heroine is now being honored for her acts of resistance.
