The wait soon is coming to an end for Marvel fans, who will find one of their favorite heroes in a new series of Disney+ this week.
If the Marvel universe has experienced a certain decline since Avengers: Endgamethis remains one of the most popular and lucrative franchises in pop culture. This week, fans of “MCU” (Marvel Cinematic Universe) can find one of the very popular superheroes of recent years. While he was in the spotlight in a series on Netflix until 2018, he returned seven years later for new adventures. To the delight of fans who were looking forward to him.
This program located in the fifth phase of the Marvel cinematographic universe serves as a result of the series Daredevilbroadcast from 2015 to 2018, and Echobroadcast in 2024. In Daredevil: Born AgainMatt Murdock, a blind lawyer with increased capacities, resumes service after many years spent fighting for justice only thanks to his office. As its name suggests, this 26th MCU series marks the highly anticipated return of Daredevil. Interpreted by Charlie Cox, the latter had already made rapid appearances in recent years, in Spider-man no way home, she-hulk And Echo. This is also the rest of the series Daredevilbroadcast on Netflix from 2015 to 2018 before being canceled. In 2022, Marvel finally announced to develop a new series for Disney+, with the return of the original cast (Charlie Cox therefore, but also Vincent d’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, or Jon Bernthal).
However, Daredevil: Born Again took more time than planned to see the light of day! In the middle of the journey, while the series had already been partly turned, it was completely rewritten on the orders of Kevin Feige, patron of the Marvel studios, with a new showrunner, new directors and new screenwriters. This is why the series, first announced in 2022, will have taken three years to emerge (and this without counting the four years which have passed since the cancellation of the first series by Netflix). A choice that was visibly paid, since fans who were able to discover the first fairly violent trailer in the series a few months ago were seduced by the first images.
To see now if the final result will be up to fans’ expectations. Because the adventures of Daredevil will not stop anytime soon! A season 2 of Born Again is already announced, even before the broadcast of the first. In total, it will be nine episodes that will constitute the series. This is put online on the Disney+ platform from March 5, 2025.
