Grey’s Anatomy is heading towards its 20th season, but will have to do without Ellen Pompeo as the leading actress in the future. Shortly after announcing its new season start date, the popular hospital series is now announcing the Farewell to their spin-off Seattle Firefighters known.

Grey’s Anatomy and Seattle Firefighters (originally: Station 19) have just announced their delayed start dates for seasons 20 and 7, which were pushed back significantly after the Hollywood strike. After the added downer of shortened seasons, Variety also reported that the Fire department branch to its decided end heading towards.

Seattle Firefighters will end after Season 7
The spin-off Seattle Firefighters by Stacy McKee emerged from Grey’s Anatomy in 2018 and sheds light on the goings-on at the 19. Guardwhich also includes a firefighter and main character Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) heard. Characters like Ben Warren (Jason George) and Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) completely defected from the hospital to the firefighters. Others like Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) often stopped by as guest stars.
For six years, Seattle Firefighters and Grey’s Anatomy aired in their shared universe from series creator Shonda Rhimes Crossover episodesthat built on each other. This will end after season 7. The second offshoot of the series lasted a little longer than the first, because Private Practice ran for 6 seasons between 2007 and 2013. Seattle Firefighters, with its current 95 episodes, will probably not break its episode count of 111 in the end, because season 7 only has around 10 episodes.

Along with Grey’s Anatomy’s 20th season will be Seattle Firefighters
in the USA on March 14, 2024 start the final 7th season. A German start date for Disney+ * and ProSieben has not yet been set for the return of both series, but it is expected to take place in summer or autumn 2024.
