After 35 years, the end is in sight for blue cubes at Soest town hall

After 35 years the end is in sight for blue

The artwork by Marijke de Goey, which consists of a series of linked cubes, was designed especially for this location during the construction of the town hall. Similar cubes stand behind the town hall, so that the work forms a single entity with the town hall. Alderman for Culture Aukje Treep finds it regrettable, but is determined. “That stone slab in front of the town hall is going away. The area is being dug up to such an extent that the function of the artwork will disappear completely.”
