Africa: regional economic integration and security issues at the heart of the summit in Kenya

Africa regional economic integration and security issues at the heart

Taking stock of the regional integration of the African continent: this was the objective of a summit which ended this Sunday, July 16 in Nairobi, Kenya. Several heads of state, ministers and delegates gathered for the 5th coordination meeting between the African Union, regional economic communities and regional mechanisms. The presidents of Comoros, Kenya, Egypt, Senegal, DRC, Djibouti, Gabon and Nigeria were present. If sub-regional economic integration was at the heart of the program, security issues were invited into the discussions.
