ADR from Gualtieri to Santanche satisfaction for recognition to Leonardo

(Finance) – “A great result for Fiumicino Airport to receive recognition as the best airport in Europe for the fifth time in six years. An important signal for Italy that bears witness to the centrality and excellence of Made in Italy fruit of the commitment and professionalism of those who put their all into offering ever more efficient services, thus presenting the best Italy to the world. My congratulations therefore to Adr for the great result. This seems to me an excellent opportunity to prepare for challenges such as Rome’s candidacy for Expo2030, the Jubilee 2025 and the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics”. That’s what she said Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè commenting on the recognition of the Best Airport Awards 2023 received today by Leonardo da Vinci from the “Airport Council International” (ACI). The Roman airport was awarded for the fifth best airport in Europe.

“Fiumicino airport awarded for the 5th time as best EU airport. Congratulations to Aeroporti di Roma, world excellence of our city. An example to follow of how virtuous investments in innovation and sustainability have translated into great efficiency and hospitality”, he tweeted The mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri.

“Today, for the fifth time in six years, Fiumicino was awarded the ‘best airport in Europe’. A great pride for Lazio but also a further push to work on the modernization of the entire infrastructural network, so that this airport is not only the door to Rome, but to make our entire wonderful region known,” he said in a statement Francesco Rocca, president of the Lazio Region.

“We welcome with great satisfaction the new international recognition obtained by Aeroporti di Roma, the fifth in six years, which rewards the commitment and results achieved by the company and by all the airport operators – he declared Alfonso Celotto, president of Aeroporti 2030 –. It is the result of a great cooperation work also with the institutions – added Celotto – aimed at guaranteeing passengers a safe and quality travel experience, through innovative solutions and investments aimed at implementing an increasingly sustainable air transport, both from the point of view from an environmental, economic and social point of view”.
