Had the coverage not been assessed as sufficient, the case would have been handed over to the Financial Supervisory Authority. The review is done at national level, not regionally.

“The calculations show that there is access to cash services to a satisfactory extent throughout the country in terms of the limits specified in the payment services regulation,” PTS writes on its website.

When the same review was last carried out, this summer, the percentage with too far a distance was slightly lower: 0.26 percent for withdrawals and 1.00 percent for deposits.

Since January 1, 2021, certain major credit institutions and branches of credit institutions are obliged to provide withdrawal and deposit points to a satisfactory extent, writes PTS.
