– There may well be more on their way into the system, a total of six cameras have been stolen, says police spokesperson Gabriel Henning.
During Wednesday, two cameras that stood after rv 69 between Falun and Hedemora were reported stolen. The cameras that are now missing were located near Horndal outside Avesta.
Since August, cameras worth many millions have been stolen in the Stockholm and Uppsala areas. There is a possibility that the thefts that are now taking place in Dalarna have a connection there, the police believe.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the area of use for the cameras is unclear.
– Obviously there are great values in this, but I don’t want to speculate on what they could be used for, says Gabriel Henning.
