In 2019, Murder Mystery was the most popular original film on the streaming provider Netflix. Four years later, the sequel finally arrives, in which we can once again watch Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston on a 5-star vacation that spirals into a tumultuous crime adventure. In the first trailer we see, among other things, the not really respectful elite police officer (?) Mark Strong and an ax that ends up in a roundabout way in the head of a (hopefully) bad boy. This time, Murder Mystery 2 is about a kidnapping

The sequel takes place four years after the events of the first film. In the tradition of Nick and Nora Charles from The Thin Man, Nick and Audrey Spitz (Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston) are now professionally snooping around the dirty laundry of the rich and famous. Actually they want to take vacation from the job when the Maharaja (Adeel Akhtar) from Part 1 invites them to his wedding. But as the trailer shows, he is kidnapped and the entire wedding party is under suspicionto be behind. In search of the people behind, the Spitz duo ends up in Paris, among other places.

The cast includes Mark Strong (Shazam), Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds), Jodie Turner-Smith (After Yang) and Tony Goldwyn (Scandal).
