Heche is said to have driven his car at high speed into a residential building in Los Angeles. Both the car and the two-story house caught fire and nearly 60 firefighters worked for over an hour to put out the fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No other person is reported to have been injured.
“Anne is currently in stable condition. Her family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and that you respect her privacy during this difficult time,” Heche’s podcast colleague Heather Duffy Boylston said in a statement.
Since autumn 2020, Duffy Boylston and Heche have had the podcast “Better togheter” together.
Anne Heche has appeared in a number of television series as well as films such as “Six Days Seven Nights”, “Donnie Brasco” and “Wag the Dog”. She appeared in the television soap “Another World” between 1987 and 1991, during which time she was awarded a Daytime Emmy statuette.
