Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai arrived in Islamabad on Saturday January 11 to participate with representatives from 44 countries in the summit on girls’ education. Malala expressed her emotion and joy at being back in her native country, which she had to flee after an assassination attempt by the Taliban. She has since lived in the United Kingdom and become the iconic figure and global spokesperson for women’s education.
