As Deadline has learned, the first favorite for Heat 2 has been determined: Adam Driver, known among other things as the villain Kylo Ren from the new Star Wars films, is said to be the young Neil McCauley step in front of the camera. In the original, the role was played by Robert De Niro. Driver and Mann have previously worked together at Ferrari.

Heat 2 is on two different time levels narrated, dealing with the events before and after the story of the original film. It’s a mix of sequel and prequel. Along the way, some familiar faces return. The plot also comes up with new characters.
Aside from Driver, there have only been rumors about the cast so far. Al Pacino, who in the first part as Lt. Vincent Hanna was seen could return within the storyline, which is set in the present. Ana de Armas, meanwhile, was credited as the love interest for Driver’s character in the 1988 story arc.
