Prior to his breakthrough role in Game of Thrones and as an Aquaman star, Jason Momoa Tried different action roles. This also includes the Reboot Conan (3D), with which the Arnold Schwarzenegger cult film was relaunched.
The 2011 film, which Kabel Eins is broadcasting at 11 p.m. today, started for Momoa not a shiny action franchise. This is mainly because Conan (3D) failed on almost every level.

Jason Momoa’s Conan flopped and is even hated by the star himself
Even the reviews of the action film were pretty scathing. At Rotten Tomatoes, Conan (3D) only gets a meager cut of 25 percent with 152 reviews. It didn’t look any better at the box office. With a budget of $90 million, the flick only grossed around $63 million worldwide and flopped.
A while ago, Momoa himself spoke about hating Conan (3D):
I’ve been involved in a lot of things that were really crappy and films that it’s out of your hands. conan [der Barbar] was one of them. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve had and it [wurde] taken and into one big pile of shit transformed.
Apparently, the studio back then drastic changes can be performed on the action film. The director Marcus Nispel also commented on this after Momoa’s statement:
In this system, as a filmmaker, you are a dog on many leashes. Trying to finish off Conan under the circumstances was the worst experience i have ever hadand I was just as dissatisfied with the result.
At least Momoa’s acting career wasn’t badly damaged by Conan (3D). Next up is the star reprising his DC signature role in Aquaman: Lost Kingdom, which is due out on April 1st March 16, 2023 starts in the cinema.
