The movie takes place approximately 5 years after the release of the first animated movie. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the movie will conclude with the third installment (Beyond the Spider-Verse), scheduled for release in 2024. Across the Spider-Verse, the second part of the trilogy, which received 95% ratings from critics and 96% from viewers, also grossed more than $88.1 million at the international box office.
