(Finance) – ACEA it came first in Italy for the reduction of water losses. ARERA, the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment, has
approved the final results of the application of the incentive mechanism for the Technical and Contractual Quality of the integrated water service for the two-year period 2021-2022.
ACEA Ato 2, a company of the ACEA Group which manages the integrated water service in Rome and the metropolitan area, was the best manager in terms of reducing losses (indicator M1). As regards Technical Quality, the premium achieved over the two-year period examined is equal to 24.7 million euros.
ACEA Ato 2 itself was then also rewarded for achieving other objectives set by Arera including, in particular, the improvement of the quality of drinking water (indicator M3).
