Accountants, Capuozzo: “Less bureaucracy and more valorisation of the territory”

Accountants Capuozzo Less bureaucracy and more valorisation of the territory

(Finance) – “The future of accountants and accounting experts in Italy we play on a complex terrain, made up of stringent rules, bureaucratic burdens and a less than authoritative perception by politics and institutions”. This is what he states Luigi Capuozzopresident of the Union of Accountants and Accounting Experts, who does not hesitate to underline the difficulty of the category and the strategies necessary to relaunch its role in society and in the market.

Registration in the register turns out to be professional not very competitive in the absence of reservations or exclusivity that could distinguish it. Added to this – he observes – is one low authority that we have with politics and institutions. An emblematic example is the request addressed to accountants to send a report to the Ministry of Economy and Finance for companies that receive public contributions. A new fulfillment which sounds a lot like one ‘earworm’ to our category, highlighting how this type of additional obligations risks further aggravating an already existing profession ‘overloaded’“.

For Capuozzo it is instead “necessary to simplify the obligations imposed by the regulations and also by the National Council. But the key to change also passes through a more incisive role of orders territorialwhich must become the main point of reference for members, especially for the younger ones. By registering in the register – he underlines – you enter one real ‘community’. This sense of belonging, however, must be cultivated and strengthened by focusing on one greater proximity to members and on valorization of daily work carried out by professionals without risking being placed on the margins of the market”.

“The ‘classic’ accountant supports the taxpayerbuilding a relationship based on personal trust and providing essential support in times of economic and social difficulty. The professionalism of our category does not emerge with sufficient force – Capuozzo remarks -, the intense communication promoted by the National Counciloften appears distant from concrete problems. The result is that the price war is winning in the market and registration in the register is not perceived as an added value.”

“We have to change the type of visibilitygiving more space to territorial orders. This approach would not only make it possible to enhance the work carried out by professionals in the area – concludes the number one of the Union of Accountants and Accounting Experts – but also to collect ideas and suggestions for improve the quality of daily work”.
