Former President of Russia and Chairman of the country’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev claims that an attempted revolution is underway in Georgia.
In Georgia, the opposition has demonstrated in recent days against the country’s pro-Russian government after the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze announced that Georgia would suspend EU membership negotiations.
Medvedev says that Georgia is “on the way to Ukraine’s road, to the abyss.”
When in 2014 the then pro-Russian president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych resigned as a result of protests, Russia occupied the Crimean peninsula belonging to Ukraine.
