UN Secretary General António Guterres appealed to Lebanon and Israel to end the violence.
Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araqchin according to the Middle East region is on the brink of a full-scale disaster. He also said that Iran will support Lebanon “in every way” if Israel accelerates its attacks in Lebanon.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke to journalists in connection with the UN General Assembly. According to him, Israel has crossed “all red lines” and demanded that the UN Security Council intervene in the matter in order to restore peace to the region.
Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon on the other hand, announced that he hoped for a diplomatic solution to the situation in Lebanon. However, he added that if diplomacy fails, Israel will use “all available means”.
Secretary General of the UN António Guterres in his speech appealed to both Lebanon and Israel to end the violence.
– The peoples of Lebanon and Israel and the people of the world cannot afford for Lebanon to become another Gaza, Guterres said.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 72 people were killed and hundreds were wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon on Wednesday.
Hezbollah, on the other hand, fired a missile towards the Tel Aviv area. Israeli air defenses shot down the missile.
