The alarm about the accident came just after 4pm on Saturday. According to the emergency services, several vehicles must have collided on county road 55 near Enköping.
– We have a unit on site and are on our way there with more stations, it should be a proper accident, says Lars Lindberg, management operator at the rescue service.
According to the police, two vehicles collided head-on. There are reports of personal injuries, but the extent of the damage is still unclear.
– Several people have been in the cars involved and there are injured people, but I cannot say anything about the extent of the damage yet, says Mats Länn, commander at the police command center.
The road in the direction of Strängnäs has been closed during the rescue work. According to the police, there is a lot of traffic on the roads in both directions and poor road conditions at the site.
