Another man was injured in the accident and is being treated in hospital with unclear injuries.
The accident occurred at 7.40 pm on Monday, and involved two trucks and a car. The woman who died was in her 40s and was sitting in one of the trucks, a so-called TMA car, which is used as crash protection during, for example, salvage and road work.
Did the accident occur in connection with a road work?
– No road work. It is a bit unclear, but it looks like it was a vehicle that had stopped at the scene, but I do not know if they stood still or moved, says police spokeswoman Monica Bergström.
The man who is being cared for with serious injuries was in the car. The third person, a man in his 45s, was driving the other truck.
The police will investigate the cause of the accident and all vehicles involved will be seized and investigated. The vehicles will be salvaged from the site, but it is unclear when this can happen, according to the police.
The incident is investigated as grossly causing another person’s death and gross negligence in traffic.
