Beaten by Liverpool 2-1, the Milanese finished last in their group with 4 points and are leaving European competitions for this 2021-2022 season. With a flat foot, the Egyptian Mohamed Salah put Liverpool tied by scoring in the first period his 35th goal in C1 since the start of his career and his seventh this season (36th). Against AC Milan, Liverpool were led after the opening goal of Tomori (29th). Jürgen Klopp’s men have once again shown that they are above the rest. In the other group B meeting, Atlético Madrid qualified for the round of 16 by beating Porto (3-1), which is transferred to the Europa League play-off. In a very tense match in the second period, which ended ten against ten, Atlético won thanks to Antoine Griezmann, scorer from a corner (56th), then passer for Angel Correa (90th), and Rodrigo De Paul (90th + 2). The Milanese will now be able to devote themselves to Serie A, where they are in the lead.
