ABT Cupra XE, bearing the traces of Tavascan, which will be put on sale in 2024, is starting the races this month.
The electric vehicle race Extreme E, which was held for the first time in the world of motor sports in 2021 and made a big impression, is preparing for its second season. The organization, which aims to draw attention to how the damage to the environment can be prevented and how to find solutions to the problems of climate change, encourages the use of electric cars and thus to take positive steps to protect the future. After its first season in cooperation with ABT Sportsline, the first automotive brand to register with Extreme E, Cupra, which started the season with the claim of championship this year, introduced its new season’s pilots and new vehicle at a meeting. Introduced with the event, ABT Cupra XE is shaped on the reinterpreted dynamics of the model used in the previous season.

The model, which also bears traces of Tavascan, which will be carried into mass production in the coming period, comes with a 54 kWh battery. When combined with electric motors, we see that the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about four seconds with this infrastructure. An important advantage of the CUPRA Tavascan XE, which has gained a more sustainable and sensitive identity in terms of the environment, is the parts used. If this all-electric car is damaged during the tough race, it is equipped with 3D-printed parts that make repairs much easier and faster. The 2022 season, in which Cupra Tavascan XE will take the stage, will start with the first leg to be held in Saudi Arabia on February 19-20.
