I Am Legend with Will Smith was a defining sci-fi, apocalyptic and zombie film. After all, he inspired, among other things, the video game series The Last of Us. A sequel is due to appear soon, which no one was expecting (and which in turn is said to have been influenced by the The Last of Us film adaptation). Tomorrow there will be the cult film on TV.
What is I Am Legend, our TV tip, about?
The premise is simple and sobering: Robert Neville (Smith) is apparently the last person on earth, accompanied only by his faithful German Shepherd. The rest of Humanity has turned into angry zombie creatureswho only come out at night and want to mess with Robert.
This shapes everyday life and survival lonely scientist in orphaned New York City quite complicated and difficult. But Robert Neville is undeterred and continues to try to find a cure for the virus that has infected the entire world. After all, he himself seems to be immune and the solution to the problem.

I Am Legend with Will Smith is getting a sequel with the same main character – yes, that’s possible!
I Am Legend was released in 2007 and was a real success, even breaking a record for the highest opening weekend at the box office. Still, it took over a decade for a sequel to be announced. It should now expected to hit cinemas in 2025 come – a proud 18 years later.
Even Will Smith is set to return in his role as a scientist for I Am Legend 2. Spoiler alert: Robert Neville actually died at the end of I Am Legend. But the sequel is officially based on the alternative ending that was included in the home cinema version of I Am Legend. In it, the main character survives and can easily come back for a second part.

Tomorrow, Friday May 3rd, you can watch I Am Legend at 10:30 p.m. on ProSieben lead to heart. The film runs there with advertising until 12:25 a.m.
