(Finance) – The Abruzzo Region intends to start with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport the procedures in derogation from State aid to search for a place from next September airline that can cover routes to Milan and Turin. It was talked about Lorenzo Sighspresident of the regional council of Abruzzo, at the end of a meeting held at the Pescara Chamber of Commerce.
“The Abruzzo Region intends to give its concrete contribution to address the need to guarantee the direct flights to Milan and Turin – Sospiri stated – the regional government has therefore started compiling the questionnaires needed to start the search for a carrier capable of guaranteeing constant, continuous and above all useful connections with Milan and Turin, also useful in terms of timing for passengers. We will complete the preparatory work so that by September we will present our request to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and then start the vector search which we are certain will be quick and effective also by virtue of the works to strengthen the Pescara airport, with the lengthening of the runway, which will make the Abruzzo location even more attractive”.
