On February 27, he was shot and injured during his arrest and was then accused of having ransacked the offices of the Supreme Court and of having attacked its president. His relatives, believing him to be dead, try to recover his body from the headquarters of the National State Security Agency (ANSE). A shootout breaks out, causing deaths and injuries.

The next day, communications were cut in the capital and the army launched an assault with heavy weapons against the party headquarters. A response, according to the government, in self-defense after coming under fire. The same evening, a photo circulated, we see the body of Yaya Dillo, a hole in the right temple. His relatives denounce a premeditated assassination. It was a “ armed rebellion », retort the authorities.

In its press release, the PSF demands justice for its late president because the international investigation promised by the government has still not taken place, as well as the release of its secretary general and 24 other activists, still incarcerated in the Koro Toro penal colony. despite a court decision.
