Aamjiwnaang First Nation in Sarnia observes Remembrance Day

Aamjiwnaang First Nation observed Remembrance Day at its cenotaph Thursday.

Flag and honor songs were sung as the community and representatives of its neighbors remembered and honor the sacrifice of those who served in the armed forces.

Pupils from the Aamjiwnaang kindergarten performed O Canada.

Rev. Adam Kilner, of Dunlop Central United Church, led the service that included a color guard, the Sarnia Legion Pipe Band, city firefighters and police officers, as well as area politicians.

Sarnia’s Remembrance Day service will be held Friday at the city’s cenotaph in Veterans Park, following a parade from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 hall beginning at 10:35 am
