The emergency situations regulated by the agreement include both the management of particularly intense traffic flows and, for example, any critical issues arising from extraordinary weather events.

The agreement provides, first of all, immediate support from the Civil Protection with rescue And assistancealso through the distribution of basic necessities to users. These operations can also be prepared as a preventative measure, on exodus days, with a strengthening of the facilities dedicated to emergency response.

In these circumstances, ASPI and Civil Protection will be able to activate a timely response exchange of information to disseminate updates in a coordinated manner, which will integrate the information flows of the channels infoviability of Autostrade per l’Italia and will be aimed not only at users but also at those interested at an operational level.

The agreement was also born by virtue of the role of the Autostrada del Sole in the system mobility nationalas the main link between the north and south of the country. In this context, the route included in the territories of the Province of Terni And Viterbo constitutes a fundamental hub of the national mobility system.
