A young woman had the unpleasant surprise, while ordering an Xbox controller on Amazon, to discover a living cobra in her package. She was scared of her life!

Imagine: you order an Xbox controller on Amazon and, after several days of waiting, your precious package finally arrives. Impatient, you unwrap the package and find yourself face to face with… a cobra! A very funny surprise! The reptile looks at you and you wonder what he could be doing there. A little more and you would get bitten by the poisonous snake!

This is what happened to Tanvi, an Indian woman who shared her story on social media. When she opened the box, she didn’t find a controller, but a small spectacled cobra. Fortunately, the venomous snake was stuck to the packaging tape of the package, as shown in the images, so it was unable to attack it.

If the customer was reimbursed by Amazon, she still points to the responsibility of the merchant site. “This is a security breach caused solely by Amazon’s negligence and their poor transportation/warehousing hygiene and supervision“, she denounces.

The sender obviously apologized and said they were investigating the incident, emphasizing the importance of customer safety. “We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced with your Amazon order”said the after-sales service on X. “The safety of our customers, employees and associates is a top priority for us. We take all customer complaints seriously”. As for the cobra, it was captured by local authorities and released.

The fact remains that this news item comes at a bad time for Amazon India, because the working conditions of its employees are at the heart of a controversy. While the country has been facing an unprecedented heat wave for several weeks, employees would be forced to carry out their missions without breaks and in dangerous conditions…
