More than 2.5 billion Comorian francs is the alleged damage of a Ponzi pyramid case allegedly authored by Nazra Saïd Hassani, a young thirty-year-old. The Ponzi pyramid is this fraudulent financial arrangement system which consists in remunerating the investments of the customers essentially by the funds obtained by the new investors. The victims are numerous and the amounts, more or less high, vary according to the profile of the customers. The affair broke out when the victims, realizing the deception, began to claim their dues.

Nazra Said Hassani, a former employee of the Chinese company Huawei, is suspected of being the main responsible for a fraud case affecting several personalities in the country, including traders, bankers but not only.

By promising a return on investment of 10% after two weeks, the young thirty-something was using a Ponzi scheme that lasted two years. The damage is estimated at more than two billion Comorian francs, according to some sources.

The victims are more numerous every day to come forward, since the outbreak of the case; and they do everything to get their money back. Cornered, Nazra and his family discreetly left the country under a false identity before being arrested in Madagascar on April 4 and repatriated to Moroni the next day. An investigation is underway and she must determine if she benefited from the complicity of well-placed people.

Consequence or not of this affair, the country learned this Thursday the sackingwithout any official reason, of the Director General of Police and National Security, Abdelkader Mohammad of which management is the one that issues the passports.
