A wonderful tribute to the ski jumping superstar from the

Slovenia’s Domen Prevc celebrated his big brother’s podium finish in the last race.

Slovenian ski jumping star Peter Prevc said goodbye to the ski jumping towers as an athlete when the last race of the men’s World Cup season was jumped in Planica.

The 31-year-old athlete, who won his home competition on Friday, continued his strong end-of-season performances by finishing sixth. The Slovenian is the overall winner of the World Cup eight years ago, as well as a multiple prize medalist.

The race saw a stylish change of scepter, when the little brother, who is seven years younger than Peter Dome was second and got on the podium. With his third podium finish of the season, the former teenage star paid handsome tribute to his really successful older brother.

Peter and Domen are from a real hillbilly family. Also their brother Cene has reached the top three at the world cup level. 19 years old Nika Prevc in turn won the recently concluded women’s world cup season.

The family’s most successful ski jumper was received by the whole family, including Peter’s wife and children and his own parents.

Peter Prevc’s last competition jump was certainly memorable for the man. During the aerial flight, the men’s skis started to whip, but he was able to take his jump elegantly to almost 230 meters. In the opening round, he broke a 233-meter slice.

The judges of the competition first playfully showed Prevc 22 points each for style.

Prevc won no fewer than 15 World Cup competitions in the 2015–2016 season.
