Sanni Hakala has received a lot of support across sports after she told about her paralysis. The fans of his club team HV71 also showed their support impressively.

HV71’s Finnish captain Hakala was paralyzed last week in the main league match in Sweden. Hakala crashed headfirst into the post in the match against Djurgården.
Hakala said on Instagram that she is paralyzed from the chest down.
– It is still difficult to understand what has happened. The collision with the goal post was as serious as it was and the consequences were as great. It’s not just that I have to stop playing hockey, which has been a big part of my life for many years. I may also have to sit in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, Hakala wrote and thanked for the support she received.
Hakala’s arresting story was international news. For example, the Canadian media giant TSN took into account Hakala’s paralysis. Similarly, the Canadian Ice Hockey Federation said that the ice hockey community is in support of the Finn.
Hakala’s Instagram update was also flooded with greetings from national team players.

HV71 played against Örebro on Thursday after Hakala’s announcement. The supporters had a sheet in the stands, on which greetings were sent to the Finnish captain in Finnish, “Take care Sanni.”

Originally from Jyväskylä, Hakala moved to the Jönköping club HV71 in the fall of 2016. Before that, he had won the Finnish championship in JYP’s shirt in the 2015–2017 season. In Sweden, Hakala won the points exchange for the playoffs in the spring of 2020.
In Naisleijon, Hakala has won two Olympic bronze medals in 2018 and 2022, World Championship silver in 2019 and two World Championship bronze medals in 2017 and 2021.
