The app is allegedly codenamed P92 and will allow users to log in with their existing Instagram credentials.
While details about the project are scant, sources claimed that the product is still in its early stages and there is no timeframe for its launch. But it’s been suggested that legal and regulatory teams have begun investigating potential privacy concerns around the app so they can be addressed before it’s released.
Sources also conveyed unofficially unconfirmed information that Adam Mosseri, who runs Instagram, is leading the project.
