A vegan after-sun balm

A vegan after sun balm

The first heat and the first exposures are there. In addition to protecting your skin from UV rays with appropriate sun protection, pamper your tan and complexion with a natural after-sun balm. Here’s how to maintain tanned skin and a healthy glow for a long time with this easy-to-make vegan beauty recipe. It is offered by Lamazuna, a zero waste vegan brand.

The ingredients you need for the balm

15 ml of vegetable oil (choice of carrot, coconut or Buriti)

15ml aloe vera

3 drops of essential oil (tea tree, turmeric or lavender)

a pinch of urucum

Focus on the ingredients

Compose your personalized after-sun care yourself according to the needs of your skin. For this it is important to know precisely the qualities of the ingredients used.

The aloe vera : very vitaminized (it contains 12), this plant is rich in minerals and trace elements (calcium, sodium, chlorine, manganese, magnesium), but also in copper, chromium, zinc, iron. It improves the healing of burns, treats inflammation of the skin, gives radiance. It is perfect for dry skin.

The urucum: this powerful natural antioxidant is rich in trace elements (zinc, magnesium, selenium, copper) and beta-carotene (100 times more than carrots). It activates melanin production and slows cell aging. It fights against free radicals, UV-A (equivalent to an index 4) and promotes skin repair in the event of burns or injuries. Notice to those who fear mosquitoes, urucum also acts as a good repellent!

For this after-sun balm, choose between one of these 3 vegetable oils (HV):

Carrot vegetable oil: rich in lutein (pigment) and beta-carotene, this “healthy glow” ally is suitable for dull and tired skin and promotes tanning.

Vegetable coconut oil: very nourishing, it softens the skin, and is particularly suitable for dry skin but also for dry and frizzy hair.

– Buriti vegetable oil: Widely used in pre- or after-sun care (self-tanning, preparation for the sun, anti-UV protection, prolonging the tan), this antioxidant oil fights against free radicals, UV rays and hydrates the skin. Very colorful, it can stain the skin.

For the essential oil (EO), choose your happiness between:

Tea tree EO renowned for its purifying, anti-acne and tonic properties.

Turmeric EO known for its anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and especially good-looking virtues because it gives a nice complexion.

lavender essential oil appreciated for its healing properties, against sunburn and anti-acne.

To make sure that you support HE well, do not hesitate to test them beforehand in the bend of the elbow before any use.

Preparation of the treatment

Mix the 4 ingredients (vegetable oil, aloe vera, essential oil and urucum) after taking care to choose vegetable oil and an essential oil adapted to your skin and its needs. Pour everything into a clean, sanitized container.
