A vegan after-sun balm

A vegan after sun balm

The first heat and the first exhibitions are there. In addition to protecting your skin from UV rays with suitable sun protection, pamper your tan and your complexion with a natural after-sun balm. Here’s how to keep tanned skin and a healthy glow for a long time with this easy-to-make vegan beauty recipe. It is offered by Lamazuna, a zero waste vegan brand.

The ingredients you need for the balm

15 ml of vegetable oil (your choice of carrot, coconut or Buriti)

15 ml aloe vera

3 drops of essential oil (tea tree, turmeric or lavender)

a pinch of urucum

Focus on ingredients

Compose yourself your personalized after-sun treatment according to your skin’s needs. For this it is important to know precisely the qualities of the ingredients used.

The aloe vera : very vitamin (it contains 12), this plant is rich in minerals and trace elements (calcium, sodium, chlorine, manganese, magnesium), but also in copper, chromium, zinc, iron. It improves healing of burns, treats inflammation of the skin, gives radiance. It is perfect for dry skin.

Urucum: this powerful natural antioxidant is rich in trace elements (zinc, magnesium, selenium, copper) and beta-carotene (100 times more than the carrot). It activates the production of melanin and slows down cellular aging. It fights against free radicals, UV-A (equivalent to an index 4) and promotes skin repair in the event of burns or injuries. Notice to those fearful of mosquitoes, urucum also acts as a good repellent!

For this after-sun balm, choose between one of these 3 vegetable oils (HV):

Carrot vegetable oil: rich in lutein (pigment) and beta-carotene, this “healthy glow” ally is suitable for dull and tired skin and promotes tanning.

Coconut vegetable oil: very nourishing, it softens the skin, and is particularly suitable for dry skin but also for dry and frizzy hair.

-Buriti vegetable oil: widely used in before or after sun care (self-tanner, sun preparation, UV protection, tanning prolongation), this antioxidant oil fights against free radicals and UV rays and moisturizes the skin. Very colorful, it can stain the skin.

For essential oil (ET), choose your happiness between:

The HE of Tea tree renowned for its purifying, anti-acne and tonic properties.

Turmeric essential oil known for its anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and above all good-looking virtues because it gives a pretty complexion.

Lavender EO appreciated for its healing properties, against sunburns and anti-acne.

To make sure that you support EO, do not hesitate to test them beforehand in the bend of the elbow before any use.
