This is no news for anyone, one of the weak points of the DualSense is its autonomy. Currently, the PS5 controller gives up after 5/6 hours of use, which is obviously insufficient for players who do not hesitate to have a long session. A problem which will visibly be resolved in the coming weeks, since we have just learned that a new version of the DualSense will soon arrive on the market. This V2 of the PS5 controller has not been mentioned by Sony Interactive Entertainment at this stage, it is online resellers who have been responsible for spreading the news. It was first on the Best Buy website that this new controller appeared, with some details on the changes, and in particular the autonomy which promises 12 hours of autonomy on a single charge.
Good news certainly, but insufficient for players who would have liked the integration of the sticks with Hall Effects, this technology based on electromagnetism, making it possible to limit the friction of materials between them and therefore to avoid drifting concerns. We are now awaiting an official announcement from Sony PlayStation.
