A two-year-old was beaten outside the police station in Strängnäs

In August last year, a man and his two-year-old stepdaughter were in the children’s corner in the waiting room at the police station in Strängnäs. For some unknown reason, the girl became sad.
According to two police officers who testified at the trial in Eskilstuna district court, the man then allegedly picked up the girl and went out. Through the window, the witnesses saw how the man hit the girl over the mouth.

In the district court, the man was convicted of minor assault and must pay a 60-day fine. He was also sentenced to pay SEK 10,000 in damages to the girl.
