A transfer of 646 euros automatically arrives at 2 million

The aid perceived very soon by many households is increasing.

This is a “good news” for the budgets of many French households. In a few days, nearly 2 million people will see an automatic transfer on their bank account. The amount of this aid increased by 1.7%. For beneficiaries, this is a revalued payment, always eagerly awaited with the increase in daily prices

This amount concerns all beneficiaries of active solidarity income. From 1er April 2025, the Family Allowance Fund will pay for this aid, increased by a few euros compared to March. Thus, the 1,812,000 eligible people will receive 646.52 each month euros, against 635.71 euros before. This represents a monthly increase of more than 10.80 euros, an annual supplement of 97.29 euros for beneficiaries over the rest of the year 2025, or 9 months.

These amounts may vary depending on the family situation of each beneficiary. Being single or in couple influences rights, just like having children. For example, a person in the RSA with a dependent child will see their allowance increase by 16.28 euros, going from 953.50 euros to 969.78 euros. For those benefiting from the increased RSA, intended for people in great precarious situations, the allowance will be increased by around 18 euros, passing the bar of 1100 euros monthly (from 1,088.43 euros to 1106 euros).

This revaluation of the RSA is automatic and is aligned almost with inflation noted in the last 12 months. The increase was to be 1.9% according to the Social Security Accounts Committee but will therefore only be 1.7% this year. However, it is important to note that this amount does not guarantee a comfortable standard of living for beneficiaries. In addition, the payment is conditioned on the realization of 15 hours of weekly activities, in all the departments, from the 1er January.

It is not a question of working without compensation, but of carrying out various actions to promote the return to employment. This may include administrative procedures, monitoring training, participation in recruitment fairs, or job interviews.

As a reminder, the RSA is intended for people without resources, especially those who do not work and do not receive unemployment benefits. Its duration of payment is unlimited, as long as the conditions of eligibility are respected.
