A trailer for Pokémon Crimson & Crimson finally makes me want to play the game again because it gives me Charmander & Co. back

A new trailer for Pokémon Crimson & Crimson focuses on the starters of the old generations and actually makes MeinMMO author Linda want the DLC for the game.

What does the trailer show? A new trailer for Pokémon Crimson & Crimson shows off some of the new Pokémon introduced to the game through the Treasure of Zone Zero DLC. Or in this case, a few of the old Pokémon.

The DLC, which consists of two parts, has been available as a digital download since February 27, 2023. As announced on the official website in September 2023, you can now also buy the main game with DLC directly as a bundle.

A new trailer for the bundle could convince you of the DLC, because it focuses on the starter Pokémon of the old generations:

A DLC that could lead back to the game

As we know, opinions about Pokémon Crimson and Crimson vary widely.

I also gave the game a chance back then. After all, Pokémon has been a part of my life since I was a child, when I started the first game on the Game Boy. Unfortunately, Pokémon Crimson just couldn’t grab me, so I just left it aside at some point.

And that’s not necessarily due to the story, the graphically unsatisfactory open world or the sometimes exhausting characters. Above all, the development of the Pokémon themselves has disappointed me for a long time.

Many designs hardly seem to have been properly thought out, the color schemes are sometimes questionable and in general it seems as if some Pokémon were simply slapped together quickly to fill the Pokédex. That’s why I lost the desire to catch and develop a lot of Pokémon relatively quickly and just limited myself to the ones I already knew from earlier parts.

I can finally explore the open world with Charmander

And it was at this point that the new trailer for the DLC captured me and made me want to start playing the game again.

The DLC brings back the Pokémon that we have simply grown fond of for several generations. We see, for example, Bulbasaur, Panflam, Chelast, Karnimani and Froxy.

I especially like the idea of running through the open world with Charmander by my side. I can now imagine developing it further and pausing in camp with a sleeping Charizard is much better than anything that crimson has offered me up to this point.

Because that’s ultimately what every trainer probably likes to imagine. Explore an open world with your favorite companion and have a great time.

Which Pokémon are still waiting for you? The trailer doesn’t just show the starters mentioned above. From each generation, at least the starters and their developments will find their way into the game.

In addition, the DLC also provides a lot of other old Pokémon, such as Vulnona or Jugong. The trailer shows that you can also strengthen this in battle with teracrystallization. Despite familiar Pokémon, the DLC also provides a few new options for them.
